Charli creates competitive choreography for our company students in tap, jazz, contemporary, lyrical and hip hop in the form of solos, duets and groups for which she has received a number of choreography and specialty awards at competitions throughout the province. For the past decade she has been successfully preparing and entering her own students into Gilbert Tap Exams. With tap dance always having been her favourite, Charli completed the requirements to become an instructor with the Gilbert Tap Syllabus. After spending 4 years as a student and an assistant teacher at ADA, she was invited to begin teaching her own classes. In 2005, Charli moved to Okotoks and began dancing at The Alberta Dance Academy. She began her dance training in Calgary where she grew up competing in multiple disciplines and successfully completed a number of ADAPT Tap and Jazz examinations, Gilbert Tap examinations, and RAD Ballet examinations. THE STAGE LIFE – A MUSICAL THEATRE PROGRAMĬharli Atkins is a certified instructor with both the ADAPT Tap & Jazz Syllabus, and the Gilbert Tap Syllabus.Teachers are in the classrooms teaching and every dancer deserves the focus and attention of their teacher during scheduled class time. Please do not disturb teachers during class other than for an emergency situation. We are not able to respond to instant messages or texts. We are very responsive with our communication and continuously respond to email, phone calls, and voicemail. It is important that you check your email as we will not send out fliers, make phone call/text families regarding invoices, late payments, deadlines, news, events or other studio related information.Īll questions and communication should be directed to or by calling the business line. In the event of cancellation we communicate via email so it is important to have a valid email in your dancer’s portal and select “send emails to family”.

If you choose not to select “send emails to family” you will miss all studio communications.

Please provide an email address when completing registration and be sure to select “send emails to family”. We use email to communicate with our families. A balance is deemed uncollectable after Spirit in Motion has made good faith efforts to collect and will be forwarded to All Debt Solutions for collection on our behalf.

Once a dancer is dismissed from class, tuition must be paid in full in order to continue dancing at SIMDA.

Any outstanding balance may result in dismissal from class until balance is paid. Returned checks will be charged a $35.00 fee. A late fee of $15.00 per student account will be automatically added to payments received after a 7 day grace period and will accrue until the balance is paid in full. All payment plans are due the first of every month and invoices are sent to the email you provided at registration. A place in class will not be secured until these payments are made.

Payment plus annual registration fee is due upon registering. *There is no refund or credits issued for classes missed due to an outstanding balance. We do offer an open week of classes the last week of our dance sessions where all dancers are welcome to join any class that is age and skill level appropriate. *Make-up classes, refunds or credits are not offered for dancers that miss class for personal reasons. *Make-up classes are not scheduled for missed classes unless a single class has been canceled for weather or unforeseen circumstances multiple times in a session. Although, you may choose to pay in installments opposed to in full at the time of registration your financial obligation and installments will continue through an entire session. We do not offer month to month enrollment.

We are not able to honor requests to suspend tuition for any reason. *We do not offer early withdrawal for either of our sessions. Installment toward tuition does not change regardless of attendance or the number of classes in any given month throughout the session. Tuition is NOT calculated on a per class basis or monthly basis. Tuition is calculated to include holidays, vacation weeks, occasional cancellation due to inclement weather, staff illness, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. Session Two Jan, Feb, March, April, May, June. We offer tuition installments due the first of every month throughout your entire session. Session tuition paid in FULL at the time of registration. We offer our families two ways to pay the session tuition.
